Rinaldi Racing starts the 2016 motorsport season with a top-class line-up.

The racing team from Mendig contests all races of the Blancpain GT Series. In addition to the tried and tested and successful Ferrari 458 Italia, the new version of the Italian sports car will be used for the first time. The two professional drivers Marco Seefried and Norbert Siedler will share the wheel of one of the Rinaldi Ferraris again this year and want to fight for podium success in the fiercely contested GT3 championships once more.

“We are very pleased that we will be competing with a full program again this year. Last year, we were able to show that we can compete for victories. Of course, we want to build on that. We were able to win strong riders for the races all over Europe. We are especially happy that Pierre Ehret and Alexander Mattschull are back on board. The preparations for the first race of the year are in full swing”, says team boss Michele Rinaldi full of expectation.

In the Blancpain Endurance Series, Marco Seefried and Norbert Siedler will be supported by Rinat Salikhov at the wheel of the number 333 Ferrari. Steve Parrow, Alexander Mattschull, and Daniel Keilwitz pilot the black Black Pearl Ferrari with start number 66, while the trio of Pierre Ehret, Tim Müller, and Stef van Campenhoudt complete the line-up in the Endurance Championship. The experienced drivers are looking forward to the ambitious motorsport program and have set themselves the goal of turning the entire know-how of the friendly team into numerous successes.

“We have also put together a powerful package in the Blancpain Sprint Series,” says Michele Rinaldi. “With Marco and Norbert, we are once again relying on our professional duo. With the two of them, we obviously have our sights set on the podium again.” The Black Pearl Ferrari will be driven by Christian Hook and Steve Parrow this season.

During the test days at the French Circuit Paul Ricard from 9 to 10 March, the team around Michele Rinaldi was able to gain a first impression. “The results after the test kilometers are thoroughly positive”, Norbert Siedler sums up. “We managed to work out a solid set-up. I’m very excited about the coming season and of course, we want to be right up there again.”

The opening round of the Blancpain Sprint Series takes place in Italy. From 8 to 10 April, the championship will start in Misano. Just 14 days later, the winter break in the Blancpain Endurance Series will finally come to an end. The first of a total of five rounds will take place from 23 to 24 April. “The entire team has prepared optimally for the upcoming challenges,” Rinaldi is pleased to say. “We are eagerly awaiting the first races. After the test days in Paul Ricard, we are all optimistic and want to show that we are back at the front.”
