Unexpectedly, WTM Racing still managed a top-10 finish at the 24h race at the Nürburgring.

Oliver Kainz, Jochen Krumbach, Daniel Keilwitz and Alexander Mattschull retroactively move up to tenth place overall in the #11 “Luigi” Ferrari 488 GT3.

The reason for this is the disqualification of the second-placed Manthey Porsche, which was retroactively taken out of the classification due to excessive power. Manthey-Racing announced on Monday that they will not appeal against the disqualification, which means that the top 10 position for WTM Racing is secured.

As a result, the team has managed to finish in the top ten overall of the ADAC TOTAL 24h Race for the third time in a row. “The fact that we managed this as a small team among the works teams speaks for the strength of our squad. We can be really proud of that,” says team boss Georg Weiss.

He and his teammates Leonard Weiss, Hendrik Still and Indy Dontje in the sister car #22 “Guido” were pushed up to twelfth place overall by the Porsche disqualification. Places three and five for the two Ferraris in the SP9 Pro-Am category remain untouched.
